Kenyan Soul Food with a Scottish Twist
A little bit about Knight's Kitchen...
We're so, so excited about this! For those of you who aren't local, Knight's Kitchen is a proper Edinburgh institution.
It's run by the amazing Christine (who everyone knows as Mama Jikoni, or 'Mama's Kitchen'!) and serves up the most delicious, authentic Kenyan soul food.
This is a real local success story: Christine started with a stall at the Leith and Stockbridge markets, and it got so popular (we're talking queues down the street!) that she opened her own beloved cafe on Leith Walk.
Locals rave about everything, especially the sweet potato rosti and all the incredible vegan options. They're even famous for adding a little Scottish flair, like their legendary Haggis Caribbean pasties!
It’s just proper, home-cooked food made with a lot of love, and we’re so chuffed they're bringing it to Nobles for us.
