The Place: We're kicking things off in style! We’ve got a gorgeous, historic space inside the Monkey Barrel Comedy Club, which is tucked away deep in Edinburgh’s ancient Old Town.
The Look: Chris has officially named the dress code ‘Absolutely Sexy Fabulous’. In normal-person speak, this means: please wear whatever makes you feel amazing! It’s all about being fun, not formal. So yes, please do dress up a little – who doesn't love a chance to feel fabulous?
The Timing: Get yourselves there from 8 pm. I’ll be there with some other lovely friends to greet you with a welcome drink and... a little surprise task to get the party started! (Don't worry, it's a fun one!).
We’ve got some shenanigans planned, so please try your very best to arrive before 9 pm so you don't miss out!
The Vibe: Expect a night full of fun, laughs, and general japes. (I think I heard someone mention tequila shots?). We’ll even be ordering in a mountain of pizza around 11 pm to make sure we're all properly fuelled.
The After-Party: We have the venue until 1 am. For all you hardcore party animals who aren't ready for bed, we'll almost definitely be wandering over to CC Blooms to carry on dancing until they kick us out (which isn't until 3 am!).
Can't wait to see you all there!
After the afternoon's activities, we're heading to one of our favourite Leith haunts—the pub we've always known as Nobles—for some evening fun!
We're kicking things off around 7:30 PM, but please don't treat this as a strict start time. The plan is to have a relaxed evening, so just wander down when it suits you best. We'll be there for the long haul!
Now, as some of you might know, the pub has changed hands, which (we'll admit) had us a bit worried! But, we have amazing news. It's now officially called 'Nobles by Bellfield', as it's owned by the brilliant local artisanal brewery of the same name. They make a fantastic range of gluten-free ales and lagers, all brewed just up the hill. It doesn't get much fresher than that!
(Don't worry if ale isn't your thing—they've got a full bar with plenty of wine and mixed drinks for us all to choose from.)
Best of all, some of our favourite staff are still in charge, so it has kept lots of its wonderful charm. We've reserved a section just for our group where we can all settle in, grab some drinks, and spend the evening doing what we do best: chatting, laughing, and generally having a grand old time.
Feeling peckish? They has a guest chef in every week, so if you get hungry, you'll be able to order some delicious food. We'll share more details on who the guest chef is closer to the time!
We can't wait to unwind and catch up with you all properly over a drink (or three).
Food update
We have some very exciting news about the food. The guest chef at Nobles that weekend is none other than the amazing Christine from Knight's Kitchen!
For those of you who don't know, Knight's Kitchen is a proper Edinburgh legend. Christine (aka Mama Jikoni!) is famous at Edinburgh Farmer’s markets, with long queues for her Kenyan soul food .We're so chuffed she's cooking for us! (We've added more about her amazing story if you're interested!)
I’ve shared the menu available that night also on that page, and it looks incredible. Even better, the ENTIRE menu is Gluten-Free and the kitchen is also completely nut-free and seafood-free, so it's brilliant for anyone with allergy concerns.
